Warehouse Manager (NJ)

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the complete direction, supervision and management of warehouse operations, inventory management, personnel & process management, and warehouse client service management.  This position requires to maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations, lead and develop the warehouse team, and motivate them to provide quality and efficient performance of their duties in a safe and productive environment.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient warehouse operations to fulfill operational and customer demand
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction levels through excellence in dispatching, identifying, receiving, and ensuring quality of products
  • Maintain product and service quality goals for warehouse operations and meet those goals
  • Work with management teams to observe disciplinary issues, attendance, and performance of direct reports
  • Work effectively with other departments to ensure coordination of sales
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policy and applicable law
  • Provide a safe working environment, adhering to safety & environmental procedures, and ensure they are understood and practiced by the staff at all time
  • Maintain physical condition of the warehouse. Efficient Lay-out, organization and cleanness
  • Coordinate daily inventory checks of stock levels and re stocking operations
  • Inspect equipment and issue work orders for its repair or replacement
  • Measure and address the effectiveness of employee performance and warehousing activities
  • Control and organize storage and inventory space
  • Communicate position expectations and train employees
  • Define staffing needs and allocate workload
  • Implement new methods, processes, and improvements
  • Prepare, pack, schedule, and route orders for delivery

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Warehouse Management experience, or equivalent
  • Experience managing and training warehouse personnel, and leading projects
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to work well and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Established warehouse supervisory expertise
  • Highly efficient supervisory techniques and skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Comfortable working in high pace environment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of conventional management and warehousing fundamentals
  • Ability to retrieve, analyze, and input data
  • Hands-on dedication to staff training and championing new ideas
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proven experience in coordinating and directing operations
