Fleet Manager

A full-time role that requires 3 days a week on site at the New Jersey distribution center. We will offer flexibility in days and times of on-site requirements with appropriate technology in place that allows for off-site management of the fleet.


Responsibilities

  • Overall management of the entire GSLP fleet – in multiple locations, NJ and SC currently with expansion into other geographic territories
  • Purchase all trucks
  • Manage maintenance schedules for all trucks
  • Coordinate with dispatch on the maintenance needs of trucks
  • Keep maintenance and safety logs on all vehicles
  • Manage all loans or temporary rentals
  • Coordinate any third party logistics like LTL trucks and flatbeds
  • Purchase and maintain all forklifts
  • Handle insurance for fleet and anything that pertains to Dept of Transportation requirements
  • Hire new drivers alongside the dispatch team
  • Get GAS Cards and control GAS Expenses
  • Get Toll Passes for each Market
  • Review and Approve monthly Lease Invoices (Charges per Mile per Truck)
  • Keep Health records, yearly required check-up, for all Drivers
  • Have GSLP meet all DOT requirements
  • Training of all Drivers to meet DOT and OSHA requirements for equipment check, loading and unloading procedures.
  • Manage all Driver HR related issues for NJ and supervise others in the other branches
  • Assist with Loading process in NJ
